Staying at B&B La Corte Lecce was a delightful surprise during our festive Christmas getaway. We initially booked a simple room, but were generously upgraded to a cozy apartment, much to my archaeologist heart's delight, as it made our exploration of Lecce's historical wonders even more enjoyable. Every morning greeted us with fresh local pastries, perfectly pairing with our coffee from the well-equipped kitchen, making for a comforting way to start the day after long walks through the old city's charming alleys. Francesco, our host, was genuinely attentive and offered fantastic advice on where to dine and explore-he truly embodies the warm spirit of Italian hospitality. It was also a relief to find free parking nearby, allowing us to venture out into the delightful chaos of the city without worrying about our vehicle. I can definitely see myself returning here, perhaps with a few fellow archaeologists in tow, to delve deeper into Lecce's rich history and culture!
